At Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, the Armenian government decided to allocate 15 million drams of financial support for organizing the “Havk” drone competition to be held this month by the Karen Vardanyan Educational Foundation in Lernapat village of Lori Province. The aforesaid foundation had petitioned to the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia in July.
The “Havk” drone competition will be held in three categories: school-age teams, amateur, and high school teams and specialized companies.
This year, the tasks for the competition are: orientation in the area, finding and distinguishing things, delivering cargo, overcoming obstacles, and spreading liquid substances.
Also, the teams applying for participation in this competition may propose solutions that are not listed. The initiative group will certainly consider them and, if appropriate, put them on the list of proposed tasks.
Emphasizing the application of technological solutions in Armenia in all sectors of the economy, including in emergencies, and in support of the start-up teams of the technological sector, the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia considers it appropriate to assist in the organizing of the aforementioned competition, for the purpose of which it is proposed to provide a direct grant of 15,000,000 drams (approx. US$39,000) from the funds envisioned by the Armenian state budget to allocate to the Karen Vardanyan Educational Foundation.
